Falling on Your Feet

Helix Arts Falling on Your Feet is our dance and health programme with people aged 65+ who are living independently. Nadia Iftkhar, Artistic Director of Company Others, is working on Falling on your Feet in Wallsend and South Shields this summer. Regular workshops lead to high quality co-choreographed pieces which wow local audiences. Participants have fun, get fitter and make new friends.

Helix Arts Falling on your Feet has been awarded 3 years' investment from Dunhill Medical Trust and The Henry Smith Charity.

Do see media reports about our 2016 pilot programme in West Denton Community Centre in the Chronicle and on ITV Tyne Tees. NHS Newcastle Gateshead Clinical Commissioning Group supported our first project which was co-evaluated with Dr Catherine Bailey and Dr Joanna Reynolds from Northumbria University.

Falling on your Feet is running this summer with dancer and choreographer Nadia Iftkhar, Company of Others.
