A performing arts project for young people exploring exploitation and abuse within relationships, particularly during Covid-19.
Louder is a new 6-month young people’s peer education arts project delivered by Helix Arts in partnership with Rape Crisis and supported by Children North East.
The first phase will take place between February and July 2021. We are hoping to develop the project further by sharing the work with schools and youth groups across North Tyneside during the Summer/ Autumn terms.
The project will be led by a skilled drama practitioner who has experience in working collaboratively with young people. The group of young people will be involved in the development process from initial idea and conception to performance. Together, they will produce a bespoke drama piece exploring exploitation and abuse within relationships, especially since Covid-19. Participants will be supported during each workshop by Tess Hudson from Rape Crisis who has experience scripting work with young people on these topics.
