Business Development Manager Role

Helix Arts are recruiting for a proactive Business Development Manager who can bring their motivated attitude and new ideas to a recently refreshed team. This is an excellent opportunity to join the senior management team and work closely with our Director to develop the next exciting phase for Helix Arts.

We are keen for the post holder to help shape and grow the company, someone who can bring exceptional planning skills and support our future direction.

Hours of work: 22.5 hours (3 days per week) flexible working arrangements possible
Salary: £33000 (pro rata, plus pension contribution)
Hours are negotiable for the right candidate.

FLOURISH - Support and Development Programme

Call out for people and organisations to deliver creative community projects in Darlington in 2020/21 or 2021/22.

Helix Arts are working in partnership with Creative Darlington, Darlington Borough Council to offer mentoring, support and funding to three artists who are based in or have an interest in working in Darlington.

Falling On Your Feet volunteers needed

Helix Arts is building an online dance community for people aged 65+ and our free, online sessions with dancers begin in August 2020. We know how important it is for people to feel connected right now, especially when many of us are having to self-isolate or shield at home because of the coronavirus pandemic.

We are currently recruiting volunteers to support this programme, initially in its first phase (July - November 2020). The volunteer opportunities are:

- Connectors - Conversation ‘buddies’ - Volunteers who join in sessions and keep in touch with people and share weekly happenings (this can be in the session and offline)
- Campaigners - Volunteers who support the growth of an online social media community. This involves regular interaction with members and artists, providing updates, content, and responses

Treasurer Role

We are currently seeking a treasurer to join our board of trustees. This would involve quarterly board meetings and supporting the finance sub-group.

Helix Arts are on the look out for dedicated volunteers to support our work in a variety of ways:

- Help with our social media
- Assist and support arts Workshop/activities
- Meet and greet/welcome (project and events)
- Evaluation and post-production work
